That “$2.99/month” hosting plan won’t cost $2.99.

Hosts advertise a sale price, then renew at up to nine times more. Add the domain and email, and the bill looks very different. Set your needs below to see what each plan really costs.

We may earn a commission if you buy through links on this page, at no extra cost to you. It never changes the ranking: plans are sorted only by real total cost. Details.

How we calculate the real cost

  1. Sale months: the advertised price, for only as long as the host’s sale lasts.
  2. Renewal months: every remaining month at the normal price.
  3. Domain: the first year is often free; every later year is charged at the renewal price you set above.
  4. Upfront payment: most sale prices require prepaying the whole term (1–4 years). If you plan to leave sooner, you still pay for the full term, so we count it.

Email terms are shown as text because they vary (free, free for a year, or a trial). Taxes and optional add-ons (backups, security bundles) are not included. Always confirm on the host’s checkout page.
